My next project is to rebuild an old bench.
The wood was cheap pine when I bought it and rotted fast. The metal frames are sound. I will replace the pine with cedar. That should last 15 years.
And I have a good place to put it facing my fence flowerbed, underneath a a small shady tree.

Or you could use it as a planter and make it a unique decorative feature in the flower garden, and just go buy yourself a new seat! LOL

I bet it will come out great.
Megan, BUY a new bench when I have the chance to make a new one better? Are you kiddibg me?
And thank you, 15s...
Was it comfortable when you first got it? Sure looks uncomfortable now.
Yay! It worked!
WOW! And we welcome a NEW old friend! 3 Chairs to AnnDee!!!
We suppose this means we can't talk about her and make jokes anymore, LOL!
I was just kidding ya, Mark. I figured that there was no chance of your buying a seat. But I can see you doing something creative with this one to turn it into a planter display of some kind.
