Hey, I'm over 60, living alone.. And it occurred to me that it would be a great idea to have some telephone or USB device that ya could just plug in and punch a button every day to say "I'm Still Alive" to some company who would visit if you didn't punch the button for 2 days..
I can't find one. Does anyone know of one?

They have those things in senior apartment places. Grampie had one where he lived.
There are the life alert/med alert things. Or check to see if your county has a senior check in service.
All else fails, a neighbor, friend or relative that you just even end a daily hello to.
Or if you like one of your blogging buddies, if you don't blog you or the kitties for so many days, they make a call.
There are (were?) several companies advertizing on TV. (Remember "I've fallen and I can't get up"?) The were intended more for accidents, slip and falls, and the like, but we imagine they would offer some sort of "I'm not dead" service. Some of them had kinda nasty contracts, though, so you might want to check that out careful like.
Maybe a local Retirement/Assisted Living/Nursing Home would be willing to set up something along those lines.
Well mate, your blogs function like that, don't they? You just haven't told us to send in the calvary if we don't see a post. Should we?

Foot Butter Guy - That's a good idea, but not yet. I want something more formal. But thanks for the idea.
